Affliction clothing is a new line of clothes that is becoming a fast growing clothing brand. You will find that they are similar to other lines of clothes that use tattoos for their designs. However, Affliction designs are influenced by music, art and culture. Other influences are Counter Culture, Tattoo and Gothic cultures. All of these come together to provide clothing line that many celebrities and rock stars enjoy.

 

Affliction has a unique way of creating their clothing. They create a vintage look by using a mineral wash which makes the fabric very soft. Then, they are hand torn around the corner. These two processes create a unique trademark for this brand. Affliction clothing offers t-shirts, belts, hoodies, thermals, buckles, Flying V Tanks, button downs, 2fers, polos, hats and jeans. Along with their women's line called "Sinful Clothing" Affliction is constantly creating new designs. In fact, there is so much to see that it will take you awhile to get through their catalog.

 

The clothing style appeals to rockers because a lot of what they have is created around specific themes. As an example, they have the Heroes and Demon line. These are created from the tattoos of Horiyoshi III (born Yoshihito Nakano), a master tattoo artist from Japan. These designs depict Japanese mythological demons on the front and gold foil writing down the sides. These aren't for just anyone but they will appeal too many. This line is a limited edition and features artwork from Horiyoshi III's two books, 108 Heroes of the Suikoden and 100 Demons. Affliction also has a clothing line for women which they named Sinful. This line is a little different with elaborate patterns and skulls. As an example, the "Love Potion Wings Heart Halo" is a baby tee shirt top with a large print of a heart with a halo and wings, skeletons and the Sinful logo in the center. The front has a chest print on one side of the heart and wings. The tee shirt itself is white with the design in black. These are designs that you won't see anywhere else.

 

Affliction clothing seems to appeal to the 16 to 40 crowd in all walks of life. The entire line consists of jeans, shirts, jackets, boots, caps, and accessories and as you can tell many of the designs are dark. One thing you should know though is that there are "knockoffs" of this line and you will want to make sure that what you are buying is the real deal; just look for the logo on the inside back of jeans because in real Affliction clothes it is embroidered and not screened.
